# Getting Started

Sign up, connect an integration, and see your first client dashboard in under ten minutes.

This guide walks you through the first ten minutes with Salfio. By the end, you will have:

1. An organization on [app.salfio.com](https://app.salfio.com)
2. Your first integration connected (Gmail or Fireflies)
3. Your first client visible on the dashboard, already being populated by the sync pipeline

## The path

- [Sign up](/docs/getting-started/sign-up) — create your organization.
- [Connect an integration](/docs/getting-started/connect-integration) — pick Gmail or Fireflies; more integrations are added over time.
- [Create your first client](/docs/getting-started/first-client) — name the account you want Salfio to track.

## What happens next

Once you have a client and an integration, Salfio:

- **Syncs communications** — emails are pulled from the connected mailbox; calls are pulled from Fireflies. Both are linked to clients automatically via participant matching.
- **Builds activities** — every sync event (email received, call recorded) becomes a timestamped activity on the client's timeline.
- **Generates insights** — on a refresh cycle, Salfio re-analyzes each client's recent activity and surfaces concerns, friction risks, and summary talking points.

None of this requires manual tagging. It just runs.

# Agent Instructions

This portal answers questions programmatically. To receive a synthesized,
source-cited answer instead of crawling page by page, append the `?ask=`
query parameter to any page URL on this site:

    /guides/quickstart?ask=how+do+I+authenticate

Optional parameters:

- `&goal=<what-you-are-trying-to-do>` steers the answer toward your
  objective (e.g. `&goal=write+a+python+client`).
- `&version=<label>` scopes the answer to a mounted version when the
  portal publishes more than one.

The response is `text/markdown`: the answer followed by a `# Sources` list
of the portal pages it was grounded in. Status codes are the contract:

- `200` — the answer; `402` — the portal owner’s plan or answer credits are
exhausted (surface this to your operator; do NOT retry); `429` — you are
rate-limited; back off for the `Retry-After` seconds; `503` — the answer
lane is temporarily unavailable; fall back to crawling the `.md` pages.

For the full corpus map read `llms.txt` at the site root; for the tool
surface (search + page fetch as MCP tools) see `/mcp`.
